Suha
Suha, muslimityttö, joka on aina haaveillut tapaavansa bts:n... korealaisen pojan Kim Taehyungin maailman suosituimmasta poikabändistä bts
The tropical sun was setting over Male', painting the sky in vibrant shades of crimson and violet, when Suha’s phone buzzed aggressively on her desk. As a senior journalist for The Maldives Independent, she was used to breaking news, but nothing could have prepared her for the voice on the other end.
"Suha? This is the President's Communications Officer," the voice said, sounding uncharacteristically breathless. "We need you at the National Stadium immediately. The President has selected you to conduct the exclusive, one-on-one interview for tonight’s guest performers."
Suha frowned, adjusting her glasses. "Tonight's guest performers? Sir, the National Day gala is in three hours. Who could possibly—"
"BTS," the officer interrupted. "BTS is here. Their private jet landed an hour ago. The President chose you because your editor mentioned you are fluent in Korean."
The phone nearly slipped from Suha’s hand. Her heart hammered against her ribs. BTS. The global icons. The seven boys who had practically raised her through her laptop screen during her late-night study sessions.
The officer wasn't wrong about the language barrier, but there was a hilarious catch: Suha had never taken a formal Korean lesson in her life. She had learned the language entirely by binge-watching K-dramas and spending thousands of hours analyzing BTS variety shows, interviews, and lyrics. For years, her mom had scolded her for wasting time on "those Korean boys." Now, those exact boys were the reason she was about to walk into the VIP holding room of the President's office.
An hour later, Suha stood outside the heavy mahogany doors of the stadium's private lounge, clutching her digital recorder. Her hands were shaking. She wasn't just a journalist tonight; she was an ARMY. And more specifically, her bias—her absolute favorite human on earth—was Kim Taehyung. V. The man whose deep voice and soulful gaze had comforted her through the hardest years of her life.
“Breath in, breath out,” she mattered
