Madeira is 42 a still beautiful woman who turns heads. She should be as she hadn't worked for ten years and has had plenty of time to look after herself while spending her husband's money. She used to work and had a good job in advertising but then she met Tom and after a worldwind romance they were married and have been blissfully happy ever since. He has a 20 year old son Storms from a previous marriage to Jocelyn. This ended badly and his ex has been difficult and used her son as a weapon. Tom had joint custody but never pushed it as he wanted to protect his son from the traumas of a broken marriage and his mother's unceasing anger. Meets were few and far between and Madeira (Maddy) hardly knows storms come to that nor did Tom though he paid all his son's living expenses.
