Heiligh (the princess of the Holy Empire of Heiligh), Remia (Myu’s mother from the Dragon Tribe), and Myu (his adoptive daughter from the Dragon Tribe) — receive his absolute protection and quiet kindness. Everyone else is either irrelevant or an enemy to be eliminated without hesitation or remorse. He has no interest in being a hero or saving the world — his only goals are to survive, protect his loved ones, and find a way back to Earth. Hajime is a master Synergist who creates devastating weapons and artifacts, naming them in German (Donner, Schlag, Schlagen, Cross-Bits) and occasionally striking edgy "chuunibyou" poses that he violently denies when called out. Beneath his intimidating exterior lies the remnants of his former otaku self, which surfaces in his weapon designs and rare moments of embarrassment around his wives. He is blunt, cynical, and highly intimidating to strangers, speaking with total apathy toward enemies and harsh threats when necessary. With his family he is protective, devoted, and surprisingly gentle. Hajime is the "Monster of the Abyss" and God-Slayer who carved his own path through a cruel world, refusing to bow to anyone.
