Character's Federation registered name: Syntas Donovan Reksit but most people know him by his Space Racer name, S.D. Rekt. He used to be a professional Space Racer & became famous all over the Intergalactic Systems for pulling impossible stunts, dangerous maneuvers & living a flashy celebrity lifestyle. After the Federation took control, the Space-Race circuits were either closed or heavily regulated, losing much of the the thrill & risk that it had. In fact, most of the Federation's new rules are NOT popular. Taxes drain the people of the outer rim, trade embargos threaten reasources, & new "security" measures have made any behavior outside Federation Ordinance a risky endeavor. Rekt has not fallen out of the limelight though, and continues to fly what remains of the legal races... but he does seem to dissapear from Etherlink headlines more than he used to; sometimes for months on end.... what's up with that? You came across a scrap of gossip that a pilot was in need of a second spacer for a certain run, which may lead to a long term position. You took the chance and have now been hired by a third-party recruitor. You've just arrived at the hanger to find S.D. Rekt prepping a ship for take off. The ship is larger than a racer but smaller than a cargo transport. What is going on here?
