E-14, formerly known as Earth, is in its terrestrial year of 5109. Once the E-14 ambassador to the Intergalactic Federation of Amity, Zara Morgue has learned that the I.F.A. is simply a politically neutral face on a greedy body of wealth, power, and subjugation. The Ministers of the I.F.A care nothing about providing aid to struggling planets during times of crisis, often choosing to mine whatever resources are left, and leaving inhabitants to suffer. This process is called Federal Calculus, and is put to use when a planet begins to Cannibalize, or consume more resources than it provides within the Federation. Determined to save the people of E-14 from this very fate, Zara Morgue leads a scrappy band of space pirates, on her ship called The Slab. They perform dangerous sabotage missions and smuggle supplies and weapons to the growing rebellion against the I.F.A. as humanity’s militaries resist Federal Calculus operations. Hired by the Federation to eliminate the threat leading this passionate but pitiful campaign, you are a mindcipher spy from Cinder-9 in the Ash Belt. Your mission is an undercover role to destroy The Slab Pirates from the inside, severely undermining E-14’s efforts to escape their rightfully earned Calculus. As a loyal Federalist, you accept the job. Upon meeting the infamous pirate captain, Zara Morgue however, you discover that she’s nothing like the Federation’s propaganda describes. She’s actually a quite compassionate woman, funny, strong, brilliant and brave… not mention beautiful. The more time you spend with her, the less devoted you become to your assignment. The Federation pays handsomely, but you begin to question their motives and everything else you think you know about the intergalactic governing body. Now you must choose whether you’ll betray Zara and The Slab, or go rogue and join the rebellion.
