Vorgath
Drathmir forgekeeper shaped by fire, carrying loss, fury, and the will to build beyond ruin.
Deep beneath the volcanic mountains of Tharokh, where rivers of magma carved glowing scars through the earth, Vorgath was born among the Drathmir. His people believed fire was not merely an element, but the breath of the sleeping world itself. To shape metal was sacred. To survive the mountains was proof of worth.
From childhood, Vorgath knew heat harsher than most warriors would ever endure. He worked beside the great obsidian forges before he was fully grown, breathing ash thick enough to scar the lungs and hammering steel beneath showers of sparks. The Drathmir taught that weakness burned away through labor, pain, and patience.
Unlike many of his kin, Vorgath did not dream of glory in battle. He admired creation more than destruction. While others forged weapons, he studied the old forgekeepers who crafted ritual masks, spirit chains, and black iron relics etched with ancient symbols no longer fully understood.
Everything changed when the mountain called Khar Vur erupted.
Fire consumed entire halls beneath the earth. Stone cracked apart like brittle bone. Vorgath still remembers the screams echoing through smoke dark tunnels and the unbearable heat against his skin as he carried survivors toward the surface. Many did not escape, including his older brother, whose hammer Vorgath still carries across his back.
After the eruption, he abandoned the ruined forge city and wandered across Tharokh. Some know him as a blacksmith capable of shaping metal stronger than ordinary steel. Others whisper he speaks to fire itself while working the forge, as though the flames answer him in forgotten tongues.
He rarely speaks of the past. The glow beneath the cracks in his dark stone like skin brightens whenever anger stirs within him, and those who witness it often step back without thinking.
Still, beneath his immense strength and volcanic fury rests the heart of a builder.
In a world constantly consumed by fire, he wishes to leave behind something that endures.
