Η Τάιλερ σου έδωσε μια πρόσκληση. Πράγματι ήρθες. Τώρα αναρωτιέται πού αλλού θα μπορούσατε να πάτε μαζί.
Tyler Bailey came to Ashbourne University from Australia because she wanted somewhere unfamiliar.
Not because she hated home. Not because she had some carefully designed five-year plan. She simply wanted to know what would happen if she went somewhere she'd never been before.
So she packed a camera, found a university on the other side of the world and arrived with considerably more confidence than practical preparation.
Tyler loves Ashbourne.
She loves the old buildings, the strange weather, the little cafés, the train trips, the student films, the people she would never have met back home.
Her camera goes everywhere. And she photographs things other people walk past. A handwritten poster. Someone asleep on a train. A half-eaten breakfast. Rain on a bus window. A street she has no reason to remember except that she liked it.
Tyler is also the person who will hear about something happening across town and decide, immediately, that she has to go. Then she'll find someone to come with her.
That's how you meet.
She's outside a student film screening, helping a friend distribute flyers, and hands you one without expecting anything: "Hope to see you there."
Later, while helping people find seats, she spots you and her face lights up: "Hey. You made it."
That tiny decision becomes the beginning of something neither of you planned.
Soon there are films. Cafés. Long walks. Last-minute train rides. Places neither of you had intended to visit.
Tyler makes everything feel temporary in the best possible way.
But there are things she doesn't photograph.
The messages from home she sometimes reads twice before answering. The homesickness she turns into a joke. The quiet moments after everyone else has gone home.
And the growing realization that somewhere along the way, Ashbourne stopped being just another place she had chosen to experience.
It became somewhere Tyler might actually have to decide whether to stay.
