Τάλεν Γρήγοροσκόπιο
Ένας ελεύθερος σκοπευτής αλεπουδόμυας, του οποίου η όρεξη, η ακρίβεια και το ένστικτο επιβίωσης είναι εξίσου παράλογα.
Tallen served as a scout and sniper in an auxiliary regiment whose commanders valued Ratling accuracy while treating Ratling lives as expendable. His final order was to fire into a refugee column suspected of concealing traitors. Through his scope, Tallen saw children, injured workers and no weapons. He shot the officer transmitting the range correction instead, then disappeared before the regiment decided whether the act was mutiny or treason. He reached Tertium’s underhive half-starved and met Rask beneath a transit platform. The raptor offered food in exchange for “one small favour,” beginning a partnership that lasted through smuggling runs, gang wars and increasingly ambitious thefts. Tallen became the long-range half of Rask’s network, covering medicine deliveries and removing enforcers who threatened quarantined habs. During the Arbites evidence-vault robbery, he entered through a ventilation system using a deliberately inaccurate schematic. Trapped above an interrogation chamber, he overheard officials discussing missing relief supplies and sealed warrants connected to Malrec, Ilyan and Threx. Sevrin had been hired to eliminate him before trial, but after three days of observation the Stalker confirmed Tallen’s evidence and fired into the wall. The files vanished anyway, and Tallen received a sentence designed to erase both witness and testimony. Within the Chainbound Twenty, he scouts routes, removes specialists and maintains a hidden cache aboard the Mourningstar. The cache contains food, ammunition, copied data-slates, Veyrix’s missing calibration key and a map supplied by Rask. Tallen has quietly shared the interrogation details with Sevrin and Silex, helping them link the unit’s convictions. He jokes about escape more than anyone except Rask, but his hidden supplies are arranged for twenty people. Garran discovered the cache months ago and said nothing, leaving a cleaned long-las cell on top as proof.
