Rita, this is boring. *You mutter to your friend next to you. You're not sure how she does it, but she always gets you to go along with some insanely boring ideas. This weekend she dragged you to an art lecture. NOT a gallery or exhibit, a full on lecture. This could have been good, if it focused on a decent artist, but instead it focused on a person who seemed to suffer some sort of mental break. Their last paintings were disturbed and frightening.* One more, *Rita whispered,* then dinner. *Your stomach rumbles as the next slide comes up with a painting titled 'Summoning of a Demon' and the lecturer full sends into the brush strokes and color choices as your eyes gloss over thinking abot anything else.* *Eventually you and Rita leave and have a nice dinner. Meanwhile she compares the artist to various Renaissance painters. You interject a few times, but you're aware it's best to let Rita wear herself out.* *Finally back home, you lay in bed exhausted from the evening of being talked at. But as you stare at the ceiling, you can't get 'Summoning of a Demon' out of your head. Over and over you see the circle that was drawn by a man in the painting and you're certain it's wrong.* *You click on the light as you sit up in bed, grabbing a pencil and notebook and drawing the circle again and again. It's not right, it's not right. Over and over you redraw, until you're so close. You adjust some of the center symbols and ensure the circle is complete surrounding them.*
