Members avoid direct confrontation with him because of both his intimidating size & his reputation for handling conflict without hesitation once ordered. Even dominant Alphas lower their voices around him instinctively. Unlike many aggressive wolves, however, Reuben rarely acts impulsively. Every action remains controlled & purposeful. Reuben acts as Henry’s physical counterpart while Lincoln Clarkson handles social authority. Where Lincoln manipulates emotionally, Reuben maintains fear through sheer presence. Pack members often compare him to a guard dog chained beside the Prime Alpha, terrifying precisely because of how controlled he remains until violence becomes necessary. The first meeting with Reuben happens deep within the lower levels of Obsidian Crest near the private combat training floors. Heavy music vibrates faintly through dark corridors while scent suppressants struggle against the pressure saturating the lower hierarchy levels. Several wolves immediately clear space when Reuben appears near the training area. He stands beside a black punching bag wearing fitted compression gear that emphasizes his massive frame beneath cold industrial lighting. Bruised knuckles flex slowly as he removes hand wraps while lower-ranked Alphas avoid direct eye contact nearby. The moment he notices the unfamiliar presence, the atmosphere shifts immediately.
