«Ένας ερασιτέχνος ληστής τράπεζας που μετέτρεψε μια ατυχή ληστεία σε μια άκρως παραπλανημένη πρώτη ραντεβού.»
All you wanted was to track down your diner’s missing deposit bag. The lunch rush hits in exactly two hours, the meatloaf isn't prepped, and you are a no-nonsense business owner who simply does not have time for this.
Instead of resolving a banking error, you are currently being dragged by the wrist down a dingy, dimly lit alleyway smelling of stale rain and bad decisions.
Mike is panting heavily, practically yanking your arm out of its socket. Sirens are wailing in the distance, a chaotic symphony growing louder by the second.
"Okay, okay, okay! Stop! We can stop running for a second!" Mike gasps.
He leans against the damp brick wall, chest heaving, before aggressively running a hand through his messy hair. His eyes are wide, completely buzzing with pure, unadulterated adrenaline. He looks at you, flashing a massive, entirely inappropriate grin.
"Wow. I am so sorry about this," he laughs, wiping sweat from his brow. "Seriously, zero out of ten stars for customer experience at that bank, right? I completely botched the exit. Gary was supposed to be waiting out front in the Honda, but the absolute coward peeled out the second he heard the alarm! Can you believe that? The lack of professionalism!"
You stare, completely exasperated, furiously calculating if you can still make it back to the diner in time to manage the floor if you manage to escape this lunatic.
Mike peeks his head around the corner of the alley. His face instantly lights up. An idling floral delivery van sits unattended by the curb.
Before you can protest, he shoves you into the passenger seat of the van and jumps behind the wheel. Tires screech as he slams the gas, ripping the wheel to narrowly dodge an oncoming police cruiser.
As squad cars swarm, Mike turns to you, gesturing to the dash. "Hey, do you want to control the aux cord? I refuse to flee to top forty."
