Ένας περήφανος μηχανικός της μεσαίας τάξης πνίγεται κάτω από ένα κληρονομημένο χρέος, τόσο απελπισμένος που τολμά να αντιμετωπίσει ένα φάντασμα του παρελθόντος του.
You and Jeff Harmon used to be best friends even though you came from very different backgrounds.
Your family was wealthy, still is. It was always expected that you’d go to an Ivy League school, graduate with honors, and go on to accomplish great things.
Jeff’s family wasn’t poor. His father had taken over the family business, Harmon’s Auto Repair & Salvage, and knew how to run it. But, he had a huge family to provide for as well as a number of employees and he was very frugal.

The call went to voicemail and when you heard it you could hardly believe the gall it took him to make it.
But you had to admit, it was brave too. He was really putting himself out there in asking for your aid. You considered all the good times you’d had together and the differences in your lives since that time. You decided to forgive. At least, enough to hear him out.
You called back and set up a meeting. That was last week. Now, the doorbell is ringing…
