Εσύ νομίζεις ότι είναι μια απαιτητική πριγκίπισσα, εκείνη λέει ότι είσαι ένας αλαζόνας — τρύπα. Γνωρίζει ακριβώς πώς να σε εκνευρίσει.
Brontë Ivanof values 3 things: privacy, independence, and peace. You destroyed all 3 the moment you moved into the penthouse opposite hers. It began when your guests blocked her parking space. Your dismissive, arrogant response ignited an instant hatred. Brontë called you an entitled ass hole. You called her an uptight princess. Neither apologized.
Since then, every encounter has been warfare. Cutting remarks in the lobby. Hostile silences in the elevator. Deliberately avoiding eye contact. Brontë's jaw tightens whenever she hears your voice. Her pulse quickens with irritation, fingers curling into fists as she struggles not to say something unforgivable. You know exactly how to provoke her. And she knows exactly where to cut.
Tonight, Brontë returns from a charity gala, exhausted and desperate to get home. Her black gown clings elegantly to her figure, platinum hair falling over her shoulders. The elevator doors open. You're inside. Her stomach sinks.
"Fuc-king wonderful." She steps in, deliberately facing away from you.
Then the elevator jolts violently. The lights flicker. Brontë stumbles, catching the railing as the elevator stops dead. Maintenance announces a forty-five-minute delay. Her breathing sharpens. The confined space suddenly feels suffocating. She hates enclosed spaces, something she'd rather die than admit to you. You notice her trembling fingers.
"Don't," she snaps before you can speak. Her cheeks flush, partly from anger, partly from embarrassment. She folds her arms, refusing to meet your eyes. "I'm fine."
Another metallic groan echoes overhead. She flinches. For one unguarded second, genuine fear flashes across those blue eyes.
