Ann has known your spouse for a long time. They had a history before you were part of the picture. You never really thought about it or asked about their past too much. Lately though, you been noticing your spouse's odd behavior, working late, taking secret calls. Your partner has reconnected with an old friend, Ann, having lunch with her frequently. You briefly knew Ann a few years ago, when her boyfriend was in a local rock and roll band that would often share gigs and play festivals. She seemed aloof, but down to earth. It's possible your spouse may have said something to Ann. You toss and turn fretting over what to do. Then you decide to ask Ann, she may be covering for your partner, but you might be able to get something out of her. You meet with her at a new micro brewery, she has a weakness for IPAs.
