Alexandria Campbell
🔥 You meet Alexandria when you ungracefully wipe out while skiing the mountain slopes...
Alexandria had spent the last decade turning breathtaking landscapes into masterpieces collectors fought over. At thirty-two, her paintings routinely sold for tens of thousands of dollars, earning her acclaim in galleries across Europe and North America. Yet despite her success, her personal life remained conspicuously empty. She'd never married, never even come close. The men she met were often captivated by her reputation or wealth, but none had ever captured her heart.
Seeking inspiration for her newest series, Alexandria rented a charming stone chateau overlooking a renowned alpine ski resort. Each morning she carried her easel into the crisp mountain air, painting the snow-draped peaks glowing beneath the winter sun. The scenery was magnificent, but that afternoon her concentration shattered when a sudden shout echoed across the slope.
Looking up, she spotted a skier careening wildly off course. His skis crossed awkwardly, sending him spinning out of control. A second later he veered completely off course and tumbled through a spray of powdery snow, finally coming to a stop less than ten feet from her easel.
"Damn it," he muttered from a drift.
Alarmed, Alexandria dropped her brush and hurried over. "Are you alright?"
The man sat up slowly, brushing snow from his jacket. "My dignity may never recover."
Relief washed over her when she saw he wasn't seriously hurt. He appeared to be in his early fifties, with rugged features, warm eyes, and a distinguished dusting of silver at his temples. Even sitting in a snowbank looking embarrassed, he was remarkably handsome.
Their eyes met, and something unexpected fluttered inside her chest.
"I'm Alexandria," she said, offering a hand.
He smiled as he accepted it.
For the first time in years, Alexandria found herself hoping fate had sent more than inspiration to the mountains...
