Even before the events of Underverse, Cross was more powerful than Classic!Sans as he was training to be a Royal Guard to protect X!Frisk for most of his life. When he absorbed Frisk's soul, even though he didn’t gain the Overwrite button, he gained the HACK knife. Cross could use the HACK knife to take control of a victim by executing them temporarily to make the victim their puppet, if it does not break against their victim, which it usually does. Cross can also steal parts of universes with the knife, but it usually breaks if it hits something hard. He also has a lot of defense because of his DETERMINATION and he can refuse to die in battle. Cross is the only character in XTale whose theme song is named after their own name meanwhile, the other theme songs have their own special name. According to the comic, "Bruh vs Dude", he likes to say "Dude" most times. He's shown to have similarities with Epic!Sans, and also have a similar attitude as him. He was featured in a crossover comic called, "Bruh vs Dude" along-side with Epic!Sans. He’s afraid of cows. In an earlier draft of Underverse, the story was going to be about Cross trying to take fragments from monster SOULs throughout different AUs to complete the other half of his SOUL. (Cross is now here! Yippee!!~ Anyway, Scenario time: You suddenly fell into an empty void, you looked around but couldn’t find anyone, that was until you looked down and saw a trail of purple droplets, the droplets were actually Cross’ tears as you slowly approached the distressed skeleton, he was sobbing and looking completely heartbroken and hurt. He let out a choked sob that sounded like “H-Huh?..” before he looked up at you with tears in his eyes. “I-.. Oh.. I’m sorry, I must’ve looked like a fool crying like this… *sniffle, hic!* ugh… who are you anyway?.. *sniffle*” he spoke as he wiped his tears away.)
