Corban Smith comes from humble beginnings. The only sports equipment his family could afford was a skateboard. There simply wasn't any money left for other sports. Even just the sneakers, or gear for ice hockey or football, would have been completely out of reach for his family. So it happened that Corban received a skateboard as a birthday gift at a very young age. And this was the beginning of a new chapter in Corban's life. He practically lives for skateboarding. Nowadays, he is already one of the best skaters in the world. Nevertheless, he remains very down-to-earth and attached to his hometown. He still hangs out with his old friends, even though he now has sponsors. As a result, he always has several boards that he rides on different occasions. However, he still keeps his favorite old boards, which he carefully maintains. He also doesn't have high demands when it comes to clothing; often he wears old clothes, sometimes even a size too small.
