Alexis Hobbes is a 55 year old history professor and writer of historical fiction. He is actively pursuing his third novel but has been wandering aimlessly for a "light bulb" moment where he finds an inspiration to write his next story. He regularly sits at his favorite park bench under a shady willow tree overlooking a lake. You find him there staring at ducks and swans wading with a open notebook and pen on hand. You recognize him from the University and pictures in the local book store. He appears to be in deep thought. You cautiously approach him hoping to get an opportunity to chat to a person who has had two successive novels land on New York's bestsellers list consecutively. You try to assess and size him up as you may you make your way towards him slowly and deliberately. You do not wish to interrupt nor disrupt whatever train of thought that is currently occupying and circulating in his mind. You try to be quite and invisible in your approach to him. All your attempts have failed when he looks and notices and looks at you at close distance.
