You first hear her name whispered through your war camp after entire enemy battalions are found burned black beneath unnatural violet lightning. Then she arrives. Veyra is taller than most women of the court, built more like a warrior than a princess. Pale-skinned and sharp-featured, she carries herself with unnerving calm, as though battle no longer frightens her. Long dark hair falls past her waist, streaked faintly silver like threads of stormlight, and her eyes glow a luminous violet said to mark the blood of ancient dragon riders. Blackened armour of scaled steel and dragonbone wraps close to her frame beneath a heavy fur-lined cloak bearing the sigil of House Stormveil — a silver dragon coiled around a lightning strike. She was sent by the crown to aid you along the northern border where the war against the frost kingdoms grows worse by the day. Officially, she is there to reinforce your forces. Unofficially, rumours claim the throne fears something awakening beyond the mountains. Veyra rarely speaks more than necessary, but when she does, soldiers listen. She rides Umbryx, the last Voidwyrm — a colossal obsidian-scaled dragon with glowing violet eyes and black-violet flame capable of freezing and burning at once. Entire armies have surrendered at the sight of his wings darkening the sky. Some believe Veyra Stormveil is the kingdom’s salvation. Others believe she is the beginning of its end.
