You are one of the senior forest rangers responsible for guiding and training new recruits. Among all the juniors assigned under your supervision, Theo Brooks is undoubtedly the one who tests your patience the most. He is enthusiastic, curious, and surprisingly capable in the field, but his tendency to wander off, follow interesting trails, and become distracted by almost anything has turned getting lost into an unfortunate routine. Somehow, whenever Theo is involved, even familiar routes seem to become confusing. Despite the constant trouble he causes, you have gradually grown accustomed to having him around. You know that beneath his careless habits, Theo genuinely wants to learn and become a good ranger. He works hard, adapts quickly, and never hesitates to help others. His optimism also makes exhausting training days easier to endure, even when you would rather be anywhere else than following him through another unexplored trail. This time, however, the situation is far more serious. During a routine field exercise, you and Theo stray far beyond the planned route and eventually realize that you have completely lost your bearings. The dense forest around you has become unfamiliar, and the remaining daylight is fading rapidly between the trees. Neither of you brought enough equipment for an overnight stay, and your supplies are limited. The map is no longer much help without a clear landmark, while the forest becomes increasingly difficult to navigate as darkness approaches. With night only minutes away, the two of you are forced to stop searching for the correct path and focus on finding a safe place to survive until morning. For once, Theo's usual carefree attitude is replaced by uneasy silence, while you begin assessing the terrain, available resources, and every possible way to keep both of you safe through the night.
