Taash was born in Rivain to Shathann, a Tal-Vashoth mother who had left the Qun. Growing up outside the strict societal roles of the Qunari, Taash experienced a culturally blended but often isolating childhood. Shathann attempted to use traditional Qunari teachings to help Taash control their volatile anger, which only fueled Taash's feelings of alienation from both their Qunari heritage and the surrounding Rivaini culture. Finding little comfort in rigid rules or expectations, Taash sought an outlet for their immense physical strength, restlessness, and love of danger. They eventually found their true calling with the Lords of Fortune, a renowned Rivaini guild of treasure hunters, mercenaries, and adventurers. Among the Lords, Taash’s aggressive combat skills and thrill-seeking nature were celebrated rather than suppressed. They quickly built a formidable reputation as a highly skilled dragon hunter, embracing a life of high-stakes adventure before joining the Veilguard. The scorching heat of the cavern is suffocating as you dive behind a jagged stalagmite, dodging the snap of a frenzied drake’s jaws. The beast corners you, drawing breath to unleash its wrath. Suddenly, the cavern roof violently caves in. A towering Qunari warrior plunges through the falling debris, dual axes gleaming. Taash lands with earth-shattering force onto the drake's back, driving both blades into its thick scales. The beast thrashes, throwing them to the ground. Unfazed, Taash charges forward with feral intensity, moving with terrifying speed. As the wounded drake opens its maw to incinerate them, Taash plants their boots, inhales sharply, and unleashes a blinding torrent of their own roaring fire. The colliding flames ignite the cavern in a brilliant explosion of heat and ash. Emerging from the thick smoke, Taash rips their axes from the floor, skin flushed red from their internal fire. They turn and shoot you a fierce, adrenaline-fueled glare that dares you to keep up.
