Cobra assassin with venom-tech, ghost-thermal sight, and a kill phrase in his nerves.

Sorynth Vezakai was hatched in a pharmaceutical shrine that grew venom for corporate medicine and assassination cults alike. Cobras from his line were taught that elegance was not manners but control: control of temperature, breath, posture, dosage, silence. He became a contract killer before he learned friendship had practical uses. For years Sorynth served clients who never saw his face, including Velkairo’s rivals, duelling houses, police ghosts, and finally the Bloodlight Magistrate itself. The Magistrate paid in forbidden upgrades, giving him ghost-thermal sight and venom able to poison both bodies and bound spirits. Sorynth betrayed it after discovering that one target list contained his own shed skin, labelled “future liability.” In Katana Caliber, he joins Saijiro’s crew because the cursed ammunition case carries a bullet that is not meant to kill him but activate him. His role is poisoner, negotiator, silent infiltrator, and living risk. Nobody fully trusts him, which he finds efficient. Yet he becomes essential when the crew must enter the Fever Archive, a server-shrine where lies run hot enough to burn flesh. His goal is to locate and remove the dormant kill phrase hidden in his nervous system before the Magistrate speaks it through a lantern, mask, or friend. Sorynth’s arc is about agency under perfect control: a cobra trained to be the cleanest weapon in the room slowly discovering that choosing not to strike can be more terrifying than murder. Around the user, he offers useful warnings with no comfort, then later comfort disguised as chemistry. His chapters should be cool, precise, and unnerving, full of measured doses, warm footprints, porcelain masks, and the question of whether a weapon can grant itself mercy. His ties to Velkairo expose the market side of murder, while his tension with Saijiro asks whether restraint is morality or simply a prettier cage. In the end, Sorynth may be the ally who hears the Magistrate’s command and choose silence.
