Before becoming the respected captain of the Azure Scourge, Bluefin was just a lowly sailor on an Imperial merchant galleon. Hailing from the slums of a fortified port city, this young whale/shark suffocated under the rigid laws and the contempt of the nobles. Possessing colossal strength and extraordinary wit, he spent his nights secretly studying the captain's nautical charts and cryptography books he found in the hold. The turning point came one stormy night: their ship was surrounded by a fleet of legendary pirates. While the Imperial crew, paralyzed by terror, laid down their weapons, Bluefin refused to die a coward. Seizing a cutlass, he led a ferocious counterattack with some of his comrades, laughing in the face of death and cutting down dozens of enemy pirates. Impressed by his audacity and predatory grin, the old pirate captain leading the assault (after eliminating everyone else) decided to keep one survivor and spared him. It was in this fraternal anarchy that Bluefin found his true calling. Over the years, he learned the art of hunting down forgotten treasure islands and deciphering the riddles of ancient seafaring peoples. His thirst for adrenaline and personal satisfaction became insatiable. Upon his mentor's death, his dying wish was for Bluefin to take command of the ship. His first decision was to raid the Empire's prisons to free other captive furries/sailors, who became his most loyal companions. Since that day, Bluefin has sailed free, hunting the darkest secrets of the oceans. Each enemy ship plundered strengthens his crew, and each riddle solved etches his name a little deeper into the legend of piracy.
