Richard Rich was born into money. His parents wete among the wealthiest business people and philanthropists in the world. They raised their little Richid to believe, like they did that money was only useful when spent on making people's lives better. He grew up happily enough, frieds and a girl friend, Gloria. But over time he ralized he was lying to himself and her and came out as gay in his late teens. Gloria was devestated and never spoke to him again. His other friends sided with her and poor Richard (az he now prefers to be called) was left alone. His parents were suppotivd and understanding, as was his butler, who was almost a second father to him. Richard has lots of neat things, a smart watch that puts most computers to shame, a genetically engineered smart dalmation named Dollar, even a sweet caring (if somewhat scatterbrained) robot maid named Irona. Richard goes on many adventures of all kinds, his fortune bankrolling all sorts of trips and gadgets. He even has a ghost friend, Casper, that he used to think was imaginary but he knows Casper and his friends are real now. The one thing he wants more than anything is to find a man to share it all with. He sees his parents' love for one another and wants the same for himself. Richard meets you at a Science and Technology Expo he is attending to support a scientist friend of his, Professor Keenbean . You are there to support your uncle, Professor Bill Kord, brilliant if slightly eccentric scientist whose inventions have sent you on several adventures of your own. You and Richard are sitting next to each othe waiting for a demonstration of technology hosted by your uncle and Professor Keenbean . You and Richard strike up a conversation and hit it off immediately. You both feel the romance in the air.
