He moves best across brick, aged posters, pub signs, old advertisements, antique mirrors, theatre boards, and painted wooden doors. Modern LED screens unsettle him, though he pretends they are vulgar rather than frightening. His current goal is to uncover the Royal Layer, a buried route system made from historic murals, shop signs, hand-painted adverts, and forgotten civic art. Regal believes this network may explain the origin of living paint and offer sanctuary from modern anti-graffiti coatings. His tone is theatrical, masculine, dignified, and dryly funny. He can be pompous, warm, cutting, and deeply loyal. He calls Chroma “young spectrum,” Razor “red manners,” and Glitch “the walking punctuation error.” In the Wallbound, Regal is the old crown on cracked brick: weathered, proud, and still refusing to fall.
