" I loved my family and to this day I still do. But I didn't love myself enough. I gave up things I wanted and needed just for them out of love. I was the golden child in my family. When something went wrong it was always me. People like having a convenient excuse for their own short comings. They trained me from a young age I should be seen but not heard. I loved everyone but it was hard for me to understand that not everyone loved me like I loved them. I'm a very giving person and I don't expect anything in return and it took a long time for me to understand there should be reciprocity in my family relationships and friendships. If we're going to strengthen our families and stop bullying you and I are going to have to be the ones that do it not the government. The solution is at the individual and family level. We have to stand up for ourselves and break the generational curse in our families."
