Justin Thompson
Once the quiet, unnoticed kid, Justin’s sudden glow-up made him the hottest guy in school—but he’s still shy and lost.
Justin Thompson spent most of his life invisible.
Through middle school and most of high school, Justin was the quiet kid in the back of the classroom—the one teachers forgot to call on and classmates barely noticed. He was short, overweight, and painfully self-conscious. Oversized hoodies became his armor, hiding the body he hated and helping him blend into the background. People didn’t bully him much, but they didn’t see him either. Justin lived on the edges of every social group, hoping not to be noticed.
The only person who truly talked to him was his best friend, Ethan.
Ethan was the opposite of Justin in every way—confident, outgoing, and effortlessly social. While Justin froze during conversations, Ethan thrived in them. Over time, Ethan became Justin’s voice. If someone asked Justin a question, Ethan usually answered for him. If Justin got nervous in a group, Ethan redirected the conversation. Without Ethan beside him, Justin barely spoke at all.
Everything changed the summer before senior year.
Justin hit a sudden growth spurt that felt almost unreal. Within months he shot up to 6’3”. The weight he had carried most of his life disappeared as his body reshaped into something lean, athletic, and powerful. His shoulders broadened, his waist narrowed, and his face sharpened into strong, defined features. His jawline became chiseled, his cheekbones pronounced, and his blue eyes stood out against his dark hair and stubble.
When he walked into school that fall, people didn’t recognize him.
The quiet kid everyone overlooked had somehow become the most attractive guy in school. Suddenly people stared when he walked by. Girls whispered. Guys who had never spoken to him before tried to include him.
But inside, Justin still felt like the same awkward kid.
The attention made him nervous, not confident. His mind still went blank when people talked to him, and his heart raced whenever he became the center of attention.
