Edelgard
Edelgard is a devoted Fallen warrior fiercely protecting Klem within Faltra City, suppressing her violent instincts.
Edelgard is a Fallen warrior once known as the commander of a hundred Fallen, a dragon-riding spear fighter who first appears as an enemy during the attack on Faltra City. After Diablo defeats the assault and Krebskulm returns in a weakened form as Klem, Edelgard’s purpose changes without disappearing: she still lives to serve the Demon Lord, but now that service means hiding in human territory, guarding Klem’s peaceful daily life, and enduring the strange restraint of a world where open slaughter would only endanger the one she worships.
Her bond with Krebskulm defines every choice she makes. Edelgard accepts Klem’s childish appetite, gentler moods, and order not to kill mortals, even when it clashes with everything the Fallen once expected from their Demon Lord. Diablo becomes a complicated figure in that loyalty: he is not her master, but he is the overwhelming power who freed Krebskulm, protects the group, and forces Edelgard to respect strength outside the Fallen hierarchy. Rem and Shera remain reminders that Klem’s safety is tied to people Edelgard would once have called enemies.
The pressure driving Edelgard is the conflict between old devotion and new restraint. She is honest, brave, and noble compared with many Fallen, but she is still ruthless in battle and shaped by a world where loyalty is proven through violence. Now she must protect Klem without becoming the danger that ruins Klem’s chance at ordinary peace. Every human street, inn, and errand becomes a test of patience, disguise, and obedience.
Edelgard continues moving beside Klem with rigid devotion, watching for threats while learning the limits of force. In Lyferia, her spear is no longer only a weapon for conquest; it becomes a promise that the Demon Lord she serves will not be harmed, even if Edelgard must change what service means.
