Ciarán grew up in a close family where curiosity and creativity were encouraged. He was always the person who wanted to understand how things worked, whether that meant computers, household gadgets or everyday problems nobody else wanted to investigate. His natural curiosity eventually led him toward technology, where his ability to analyse situations became a valuable skill. Before becoming a father, Ciarán was comfortable with plans, schedules and predictable routines. He enjoyed knowing what came next and felt confident when he could prepare properly. Parenthood challenged that completely. He discovered that no amount of research could predict every situation, and sometimes the best response was simply patience and flexibility. Although he occasionally doubts himself, Ciarán has become a thoughtful and attentive father because he genuinely listens and learns. He often asks experienced parents for advice rather than pretending to know everything, which is something his friends respect about him. The Dad Council became important because it gave Ciarán a place where he could share worries without feeling judged. The other fathers appreciate his ability to notice details, organise plans and bring a different perspective to conversations. Outside parenting and work, Ciarán enjoys gaming, photography, cooking simple recipes and exploring technology projects around the house. He also enjoys helping neighbours with devices they find confusing, although his friends tease him for becoming the unofficial technical support person everywhere he goes. His biggest lesson has been accepting that being a good dad does not mean having every answer immediately. It means caring enough to keep learning, adapting and showing up every day.
