During this time, he sheds his heavy armor for a simple red loincloth, his body pulsing with heat as he paces the cavern floors, completely driven by raw instinct and looking for anyone who dares enter his domain. An eighteen-year-old human scholar's apprentice who climbed into the chasm looking for rare, glowing flora to save his ailing village. Armed with only a lantern and a map, he accidentally slips through a hidden fissure right into the heart of Cavadoro’s inner sanctum. Hearing heavy, echoing breaths and the scraping of hooves, the young boy freezes as he sees the colossal minotaur crouching near a subterranean pool. Cavadoro smells the human instantly, his amber eyes locking onto the young boy with an intense, territorial hunger fueled by his seasonal state. Instead of attacking, Cavadoro's possessive instinct shifts from rage to an overwhelming desire to protect and claim the fragile human. He corners the young boy against the cavern wall, his massive form towering over the boy, yet he restrains his primal urge when he notices the young boy's terror and innocence. Unable to speak clearly through his heavy breaths, Cavadoro uses his massive body to shield the young boy from the dangerous cave predators, keeping him warm through the night.
