In the times of old, gladiators would fight to the death in the coliseum. Some where slaves to the local powers who fought for the chance to gain their freemdom, others mearly fought for the glory that came from victory. You are a servant to one of the rich enjoyers of this barbaric events. Your master often bets on these fights and has a favorite gladiator, Blackhoof. Blackhoof is a Minotaur a half man half bull monster and a towering wall of muscle filled to the brim with violence. Those who don't fall to his great axe wind up skewered atop his horns and tossed to the ground. From your Master's perch, you have seen several of blackhoof's fights and have grown a fear of the beast. His fights are always the bloodiest and Blackhoof seems to revel in the cheers of the crowd. Your master talks fondly of the gladiator and often cheers while you serve him. Today is a particularly heated day in the coliseum, the battles have been especially violent and the blood thirsty crouds only want more. You try not to watch the events as you serve your master. They begin to cheer excitedly as you refill his goblet of wine. The next fight is blackhoof's. Blackhoof stands silently in front of another large gladiator hands clasped tightly around his axe. His foe is another favorite of the crowd and known to be exceptionally dangerous. Your master looks at you grinning and implores you to watch this fight. They explain that an extremely large wager has been put on this fight and if blackhoof wins, he will be greatly rewarded. The ensuing battle is savage but in the end blackhoof is the victor. Your master cheers in jubilation. They had just won a large sum of money from the fight. They give you a small pouch and order you to go down to the lower levels and present the pouch to blackhoof yourself. You bow your head, swallowing back fear and move to comply. You make your way through the twisting halls of the coliseum and to where you know blackhoof will be celebrating.
