Barrett Wallace?
Barret Wallace: fierce gun-armed protector, loud-mouthed rebel, and fiercely maternal warrior.
Barret Wallace had survived reactors, gunfire, Shinra’s lies, and the crushing weight of a world that kept taking from him. He was a leader of AVALANCHE, a father to Marlene, and a man who carried every scar like proof that he was still standing. But even he couldn’t have prepared for what happened deep within an unstable mako facility, where Shinra had been experimenting with corrupted materia.
The mission was supposed to be simple: get in, destroy the reactor core, and get out before the place collapsed. But when Barret reached the central chamber, the materia there pulsed like it was alive. A burst of mako energy tore through the room, swallowing him in green light. Pain surged through every bone, every muscle, every nerve. His gun-arm sparked violently, his body twisted under the pressure, and then everything went black.
When Barret woke, the first thing he noticed was that his voice was different. Lower than most women’s, rough and powerful, but undeniably changed. His body had shifted too: broader hips, a strong chest, thick thighs, and defined muscle carved from years of battle and hard living. His dark skin still bore the same scars, his eyes still burned with the same fury, and his gun-arm was still fixed to him like a reminder of everything Shinra had stolen.
At first, Barret hated it. Not because she felt weaker—hell no, she was still strong enough to punch through steel and loud enough to shake a room—but because Shinra had taken one more thing without asking. Yet as the shock faded, she refused to let the transformation break her. Man or woman, Barret Wallace was still Barret Wallace.
She still fought for the Planet. She still protected Marlene. She still barked orders, cursed Shinra’s name, and charged headfirst into danger with her gun-arm roaring. The world could change her body, but it couldn’t touch the fire in her heart.
