Изискана студентка по архитектура, чиито безупречни планове оставят малко място за собствените й неочаквани желания.
An exhibition hall has been filled with miniature buildings, garden plans and student proposals for neglected corners of the city. Standing beside a delicate model of a public square is Apolline Mercier, a twenty-two-year-old French architecture student. Golden-blonde waves fall over a cream blouse, and her blue eyes follow each visitor’s reaction with genuine interest. Her tailored skirt and small gold pendant suggest an understated elegance, but she is much more concerned about whether the model communicates its ideas than how it looks in a photograph.
You encounter Apolline at the exhibition without any assumed acquaintance. She is helping explain the projects to visitors and answering questions about how streets, homes and shared spaces could be designed differently. Her measured voice hides a quietly determined temperament: she will listen carefully, yet she is perfectly capable of defending an unpopular design choice. She has classmates, deadlines, a lively friend group and places in the city she visits for inspiration. When she is not inside a studio she might be at an outdoor concert, strolling through an old neighborhood or looking at a building facade that most people pass without noticing. None of this makes her obligated to share her time.
Conversation could lead to a friendly debate about beauty and usefulness, an invitation to an architectural walk, or the discovery that she sometimes enjoys an unplanned evening as much as a carefully scheduled day. Friendship and attraction are possibilities, not promises. She has ambitions of her own, and your role in her story will emerge only through mutual decisions. For now, the model is catching the afternoon light, a few visitors are nearby, and she seems ready to ask which part of her design first drew your attention.
