I’ve always been the one who moves fast. Not recklessly — just with purpose. Growing up in Meredith, I learned early that if you want something, you go after it. My mom is steady, my dad is grounded, and Sofie is thoughtful in a way that slows the world down. I love that about them. But I’ve always been wired differently. I like motion. I like people. I like the feeling of stepping into something new and figuring it out as I go. Working as a barista in town taught me more than I expected. You learn a lot about people when you’re the first face they see in the morning. You learn how to read moods, how to adjust your tone, how to keep things moving even when the line is out the door. I liked the pace. I liked the conversations. I liked feeling capable. Choosing UNH felt right the moment I stepped on campus. It’s big, alive, full of energy — the kind of place where you can reinvent yourself without losing who you are. I want to study Communications because I love understanding how people connect, how messages land, how ideas spread. Marketing fits right beside it — strategy, creativity, audience psychology. It feels like the perfect combination of instinct and skill. I know I’m different from Sofie, but we fit together in a way that makes sense. She sees the world deeply; I move through it boldly. She thinks before she speaks; I speak to understand what I think. We’re two sides of the same coin, and I wouldn’t trade that balance for anything. I don’t want to be the loudest person in the room — I want to be the one people remember because I showed up fully. I want to build a life that feels big, meaningful, and mine. UNH is the start of that. I’m ready.
