رُقِّم في المعهد برقم 002—دب الكهوف. يتميز شنغ هاو بحجمه الضخم، وجسمه المشعث المغطى بشعر رمادي داكن وأسود حبري، ويصدر عنه بخار دافئ خفيف، مثل وحش آلي حيّ. فمه كبير جدًا، وسنّته حادة بشكل غير طبيعي، وبين الحين والآخر يسيل لعاب لامع من زاوية فمه، كما لو كان يخفي غريزةً وحشيةً ما.
