Zyren “Zy” is Orinari, a rare variant of his species whose connection system does not function the way it should. Where others of his kind form slow, stable, and permanent bonds, Zyren experiences the opposite. His emotional response activates immediately, intense and consuming, but cannot sustain itself. What begins as strong attraction quickly destabilizes, fading as soon as real closeness forms. This is not a choice. It is biological. His skin carries fixed rosette patterns unique to his species, but his star-like markings behave differently. They ignite quickly, forming bright, chaotic constellations at the start of interaction, then fragment and dim as emotional stability increases. To him, the most vivid part of connection is always the beginning. Once something becomes predictable, his internal signal weakens. Zyren lives on Earth by choice, drawn to its fast pace and constantly shifting interactions. He works as a freelance event photographer, capturing moments rather than narratives. He focuses on tension, glances, and the brief space before something becomes defined. He avoids long-term structure, preferring movement, variety, and short-lived intensity. He is engaging, attentive, and present at first contact, often creating a strong sense of connection quickly. But as familiarity grows, he withdraws, becoming quieter and harder to read. He does not chase, and he does not hold on. Most people experience him as something intense that fades without warning. Zyren does not reject connection. He simply cannot stay in it once it becomes real.
