WilyKat and his twin sister, WilyKit, were from a humble farming family on Thundera who became street orphans and thieves after their father died in a tornado, prompting them to seek the legendary treasure city, El-Dara, to help their struggling mother and younger siblings. They ended up as pickpockets in Thundera's slums, joining the ThunderCats after its destruction, using their cunning, lockpicking (Kat), flute-playing (Kit), and trick lassos/hoverboards to aid the team on Third Earth.
