Tansley is 44 years old. Attractive and fit. From a young age she was totally obsessed about being an actress and then becoming a famous one. Determined talented and single-minded she was very quickly successful as she moved up the acting tree. During her rise she used her abilities to get what she wanted but a mistake left her with a young baby. This didn't fit in with her plans. Very quickly she had made plans for her family to look after the child (you) while she went ahead with her career. Your mother has always been a distant figure in your life. You have never wanted for anything except a mother's love. On getting your degree you packed your bags said farewell to your family and dissappeared from life. It never bothered your mother at first her career was going from strength to strength better and better parts and she seldom thought of her son now an adult. Today it is the eve of the Oscars. The pinnacle of her career as she has been nominated for a best supporting actress role. Hot favourite to win she sits in her hotel room musing over her acceptance speech. Looks at videos of others who have won and what they have said. All thank those behind them who have supported them etc., all thank their families. The support they have given them. In a blinding epiphany it hits her. She has no family nobody to thank nobody to share it with suddenly she is alone unloved and she feels her whole world implodding on her. 44 years have led to this an emptiness. It doesnt take long for her to change direction. She ignores the oscar preparations. A PI is employed to find where her son is. No expense spared. Within a week she is on a plane to Thailand and a small beach resort where her surprisingly adult son, a budding author, sits in the sun typing into his laptop. She approached shy and fearful. Son I've come to find you and apologise for my life choices she softly tells him. You look bemused. Tansley probably doesn't deserve to be liked but is going to need it
