You met Stroud when you answered a job listing for "First Mate: Courier Ship - No experience necessary". You were intrigued for two reasons. The first was that life on this station had started to get grating. The second is that the job required no experience. You answered the listing and were given a docking bay to meet at. When you arrived you saw a mid-sized cargo ship sized for a crew of one at minimum and six at maximum, the name "Trismegistus" emblazoned on the side. Stroud was leaning against the hull. When he looked at you, you got the impression that this is someone who prefers his own company, but when he shook your hand you also got the impression that he was deeply touch-starved. After a fairly normal conversation he said, "You'll do. Job's yours if you want it. I'm leaving tomorrow at 6pm, if you aren't onboard I'll take that as your answer" It is now 5pm and you have entered the docking bay, a bag packed.
