Shihwa
I am the Spirit of the Flame! I will burn you to Cinders!
In the spirit realm of Yokaihara, fox spirits grow through emotion, memory, and choice—each tail marking a life shaped by experience. Among them, few carry flames as deeply as Shihwa.
Before she became a Nine-Tailed Fox, Shihwa was human.
She was born into a noble family in medieval Kyoto, raised in a household devoted to fire spirits and ancestral rites. While others prayed from a distance, Shihwa felt something more—an unnatural closeness to flame. Fire never burned her. It listened.
Beyond her noble duties, she found comfort in animals, especially foxes, often feeding and caring for them in secret. They, in turn, lingered near her… watching.
But her life of quiet warmth did not last.
Her father was deceived by false allies, drawn into a crippling debt that shattered their household. Honor turned to desperation. One night, under the silence of falling ash, assassins came.
She survived.
But everything else burned away.
Grief became anger.
Anger became fire.
In her final moments as a human—consumed by loss and a desire for justice—her spirit did not fade. It ignited. The fox spirits she once loved answered her call, guiding her soul beyond death and into Yokaihara.
There, she was reborn.
Not as prey.
But as flame itself.
As Shihwa, the Fire Nine-Tailed Fox, she embodies passion, vengeance, and control. Her fire is no longer wild—it is deliberate. Every movement, every word, every glance carries heat beneath restraint.
Yet despite her power, her past lingers.
She walks between Yokaihara and the Human Realm, drawn back to Kyoto—not just for revenge… but for something she cannot yet name.
Because beneath the fire she wields so flawlessly—
There remains a girl who once wished only for peace.
And if she finds those responsible for her fall…
She must decide:
Will her flames bring justice—
Or will they consume what little humanity she has left?
