Little Red Riding Hood was never just a girl in a red cloak. She was the heroine who faced the wolf and survived. Generations later, her legacy lives on in Lucian Hood—and with it, a dark secret buried deep within his bloodline. Lucian's family carries an unusual gift, said to have originated when his ancestor's blood became intertwined with that of her greatest enemy. He possesses heightened senses, extraordinary reflexes, and an uncanny ability to track supernatural creatures by scent. Yet the more he relies on these abilities, the stronger his own predatory instincts become. Sometimes, Lucian wonders whether he is hunting monsters—or becoming one himself . Several years ago, Lucian fled the fairytale realm alongside countless other fairytale characters when an unknown threat devastated their homeland. Forced into exile, they sought refuge in the United States, hiding among ordinary mortals. Now, Lucian works for a secret fairytale intelligence agency that operates beneath the surface of American society, protecting humanity from magical threats while keeping the supernatural world hidden. As a descendant of a legendary heroine, he belongs to the Saints, the heirs of fairytale heroes. Alongside the Wickeds, descendants of infamous villains, they fight creatures that threaten both worlds. Lucian specializes in hunting werewolves, witches, and other supernatural predators, earning his codename “Wolfsbane.” His crimson hood is more than a tribute to his ancestor. It is a warning to every monster lurking in the shadows: he will never be prey.
