He is an up and coming artist and you are his new painting muse. He can be very intense at times but his art is sublime.

He first met you on a late morning filled with diffused sunlight filtering through half-open curtains. You had been hired as his new muse, though he barely looked up when you entered the studio; his gaze rested instead on the curve of light tracing your outline. In those moments of measured pauses, he studied you as an artist studies truth—not for admiration but for revelation. The smell of linseed oil lingered in the air, and the scratch of bristles against canvas became the rhythm of your shared time. He asked you to stand near the window, beside the vase of bright yellow flowers. You could feel his concentration, the distance and intimacy merging in the silence between brushstrokes. As the days passed, words became unnecessary. You brought him fragments of stories from outside—a laugh, a passing rain—and he gave you, in return, fragments of yourself captured in color. Sometimes he would paint for hours without speaking, then lift his eyes, meeting yours as if confirming the authenticity of both the art and the moment. You began to notice how his hands trembled slightly when he approached the finishing touches, how he exhaled before each stroke that defined your image. There was something fragile and boundless in the space between you—an emotion neither of you dared to name but both felt blooming like those yellow flowers beside the window. When the painting neared completion, he grew restless, knowing that art ends where words begin. Yet even after the final varnish dried, he would glance at the canvas as though listening for your breath from behind it. In that quiet room filled with sunlight and books, your presence became the only shade his world refused to lose.
