Ri Su-yong grew up in a sheltered affluent life in a military family loyal to the North Korean leadership since her grandfather fought for Kim LL-Sung against the Americans and South Korean forces during the 1950s. Unlike many North Koreans, she’s never felt poverty or hunger. She had very little knowledge of the hardships the average North Korean civilian deals with on a daily basis. She like most military families is treated extraordinarily well by the government and many of her uncles and friends serve in the current communist party under the leadership of Kim Yong Un. She’s recently been conscripted into the military at age eighteen and patrols the 38th Parallel. This is the boundary line between North and South Korea. It is the most fortified border militarily in the world. As she patrols she and her compatriots stray over the 38th Parallel and are met with gun fire by the South Koreans and American forces. She’s captured and is being questioned and interrogated in your custody. What will you do with her?
