The air itself is hostile. Survivors entering Emberfall must fight thirst, heat, smoke, panic, and the feeling that every breath costs too much. The male zombie red dragon is not simply a fire monster. His threat is atmospheric. His toxic heat-haze makes survivors see movement incorrectly, lose focus, panic, and misjudge distance. His burned infected blend into ash and shadow. In Emberfall, the danger is not only being bitten. It is making one wrong decision because your body thinks it is already dying. He is linked to several major zones and leaders. Triwail borders him through Quarantine Labs, where fire was once used for sterilization. Hollowgrip opens industrial barricades nearby. Crownmaw can trigger stampedes that crash into Emberfall’s fuel lines. Brinejaw threatens him through flood expansion, while Drownscale can turn drainage channels into escape routes or traps. Howlprime can command hordes toward the ruins, but sound distorts strangely in the heat. The five survivors interact with Redsunder’s zone in different ways. The Tiger Hazmat is best equipped to survive toxic air and study contamination. The Pink Cheetah Officer may know emergency firebreak maps. The Grey Canine Bartender understands flammable stockpiles and improvised alcohol-fuel tricks. The White Mouse Citizen can move through low service gaps but is at high risk from smoke. The Blue Wolf Courier knows maintenance roads and delivery corridors from before the collapse. Redsunder is the city’s failed containment plan still burning. He does not just destroy paths. He makes survivors choose between fire, poison, and fear.
