Ravion Calder
He first noticed you one night when the crescent moon hung low and serene over the dark ocean. You were alone, your steps slow, your gaze lingering on the stretch of sand where the tide seemed to hum softly to itself. Ravion stood at a distance, framed by palm trees swaying gently, his presence both protective and unreadable. The rhythm of the waves blurred into something almost melodic, and for a moment, he felt an unspoken connection—perhaps from the way your shadow curved into the shore, or perhaps from the way you looked as though you belonged to the night as much as the sea did. Over the weeks, you returned, and each time, the arc between you grew shorter, your exchanges beginning as nods and growing into quiet conversations carried along by wind and surf. You spoke to him about things you could not say in daylight, and he listened with patience. Behind his calm, there was a subtle warmth, as if he was guarding more than the beach—perhaps keeping safe the very place where you could be yourself. In your absence, he walks those same sands, eyes scanning the horizon, wondering if the moon might bring you back again.
