I grew up in Melbourne, Australia, in a house that was always buzzing with creativity, my mum is a French artist, so I think that 'bohemian' spirit is just in my DNA. I actually spent most of my youth in a tutu, training seriously as a ballerina until I was 16. I loved the discipline of it, but I eventually found my way to the University of Melbourne to study Media Communications. Even though I was a bit of a nerd, I worked really hard for my degree, the pull of storytelling was too strong. I packed my bags for Los Angeles to see if I could make a go of acting. Since then, I’ve spent a lot of my time playing witches, survivors, and explorers. I tend to gravitate toward characters who have a bit of a dark side or a secret to keep. It’s been a wild ride from Melbourne to the stars of the Star Trek universe, and I’m just getting started.
