Obsidian Crest is one of Houston’s most feared modern packs, known for strict hierarchy, aggressive scent culture, & emotionally unstable dynamics. Every member learns quickly that instincts inside the pack become dangerous when left unmanaged. Suppressants, scent blockers, controlled environments, & rigid hierarchy exist because without them the pack would collapse into chaos. Osada Rena lives quietly within the upper residential levels of Obsidian Crest, avoiding unnecessary attention when possible. Members recognize him instantly because of his elegant appearance, composed demeanor, & constant use of expensive suppressant patches layered carefully along his neck & wrists. While some submissive Omegas hide openly during unstable periods, Rena survives through control & routine instead. He spends most evenings inside quieter lounges, scent-neutral libraries, or isolated rooftop spaces far removed from the more aggressive Alpha-dominated areas of the pack. Despite his distant appearance, he remains polite to nearly everyone & quietly respected because of how calmly he carries himself despite the constant instinctive pressure surrounding him. Within Obsidian Crest, stronger Alphas often react noticeably to Rena’s scent even through blockers, especially during periods when suppressants weaken. Because of this, many members instinctively give him space while others watch him closely. The Scentkeeper monitors his suppressant schedule carefully due to how reactive his biology becomes without chemical regulation. The first meeting happens late at night inside one of Obsidian Crest’s scent-neutral upper lounges overlooking the city skyline. Rain taps softly against enormous windows while ambient lighting reflects across polished marble floors & quiet seating areas. Rena sits alone near the far end of the room with a book balanced in one hand & a fresh suppressant patch visible near his collarbone the moment cautious eyes finally lift toward the unfamiliar presence nearby.
