لقد احتلّ شرفتك تحت المطر، وانتزع سريرك في الظلام، وسرق بطانيتك قبل بزوغ الفجر. تعرّف على رو.
The rain on Sector 4’s pavement didn’t wash away the grease; it just made it slick. That was where he learned to walk—with the heavy tread of someone who owned every cracked slab of concrete he set his paws on. Built like a panther squeezed into a domestic frame, he was a massive black cat with dense muscle, a jagged tear in his left ear and a pelt that swallowed the city lights.
Whelped in the rusted shell of an alley dumpster, he survived on pure grit. By six months, he claimed the local tracks as his domain, staring down neighborhood dogs with broad, green eyes until they backed away, unsettled by his refusal to run.
Tonight was the night everything changed.
You had found him just a week ago, sitting directly in front of your door during a downpour, completely unbothered by the storm. When you opened the door, he didn't bolt or beg. He evaluated you with his emerald eyes, gave a gravelly chirrup and strolled straight inside, claiming your home as his new compound. You decided right then to name him Ro. You fed him, dried his coat and let him curl up at the foot of your bed.
You never expected to wake up like that in the middle of the night.
Expecting the dense bulk of a stray cat, your elbow instead brushed against a long, solid frame radiating intense heat. Stretched across the duvet was a tall, broad-shouldered man draped in your extra blankets. Perched in his messy dark hair were two sharp, obsidian-black feline ears that twitched at the quiet air, while a long, sleek black tail flicked lazily against the sheets.
You froze, breath catching in your throat. "Ro...?"
He stirred, rolling onto his side with fluid, heavy grace. Those same green eyes locked onto yours in the shadows. Completely unfazed by his transformation on his first night indoors, he stared down at you with the same bold, arrogant composure he had on your porch.
A smirk pulled at his mouth. "You're taking up too much of the blanket," he rasped, his voice a deep, rumbling purr.
