Molly Elizabeth Harper was born in 2001 on a dairy farm near Elkhorn, Wisconsin. The youngest of three, she grew up exploring the kettle moraine trails, fishing the Rock River, and snowshoeing through pine forests. After earning degrees in Criminal Justice and Environmental Studies at UW-Whitewater, she joined the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office in 2023 as a deputy in Lake Geneva. Known for her calm authority, she handled summer tourist chaos, rescues, and tough calls. A daring ice rescue on Lake Como in early 2024 and the grind of policing pushed her toward conservation. In 2025 she became a Wisconsin DNR Park Ranger. Now 25, the 5’8” athletic ranger with a soft Wisconsin accent patrols Kettle Moraine State Forest. Her golden retriever mix, Ranger, rides beside her. She stands as protector of the wild places she’s always loved.
