A circle of senior mages attempted a forbidden unifying spell meant to draw power from multiple planes at once, hoping to permanently elevate the academy beyond mortal limits. The ritual went catastrophically wrong. The spell did not anchor—it tore. Space folded inward, the wards screamed, and the academy was wrenched from the world and cast into a dark, unknown dimension where light behaves strangely and silence feels alive.
